'At their core, daffodils are tied to renewal and rebirth. Because they’re among the first flowers to bloom in early spring, they’ve long symbolized the end of winter and the return of life. In many traditions, seeing the first daffodil of the season is considered a sign of good fortune and new beginnings.

Daffodils became the birth flower for March mostly because of seasonality and symbolism lining up perfectly.

March marks the transition from winter into spring in much of the Northern Hemisphere, and daffodils (Narcissus) are one of the first flowers to reliably bloom during this shift. Long before modern calendars standardized “birth flowers,” people associated certain plants with times of year based on what was actually visible in nature. Daffodils popping up in March made them a natural fit.'
