Did you know that acrylic paints contain plastic? So every time you wash your brushes, millions of microplastics are flushed down the sink ☹️ I think we as artists have a duty to preserve the environment we love so much, including limiting the use of damaging art materials. The goal of my studio and my practice is to have as little impact on the environment at possible - as well as eliminating toxins/chemical run off when I wash my brushes. Natural Inks are a fantastic eco-friendly, non-toxic alternative to petroleum based inks. It’s such a fun process and ideal for those to experiment!
 
This set is designed to be an introduction to natural inks. Inks will naturally change appearance over time but this is not necessarily a bad thing and conceptually part of the process of natural materials.
 
Each ink is preserved with a whole clove. Do not remove the clove to reduce the risk of moulding.
